One goal in first grade is to retell a story. This week, first grade students had the opportunity to retell the story, Little Red Riding Hood, through story theater!
In story theater, a narrator tells the story and characters repeat the narrator for speaking parts . Miss Kris and all three classroom teachers took turns being the narrator. The first graders took turns being characters from Little Red Riding Hood. Some students got to wear costumes and others used puppets.
By the end of the week, the first graders were EXPERTS at retelling Little Red Riding Hood through story theater!!
